This was the best purchase I made as a female truck driver! It definitely comes in handy when you are parked at the back of a truck stop and can't get out due to safety reason at 3am to pee. I only use this for pee emergencies, but it's way better than using a cup iykyk. Easy to clean, also purchased RV pods to place in the holding tank keeps it clean and sanitized in between uses ! Love the flushing feature! If ur thinking about purchasing it just do it!Light and easy to fill. Sits a little low on the ground but a milk crate solved that problem. Flusher is a little cheap but you really don't need a lot of flush. The sides are so steep and slick, everything goes right down. Very pleased so far.I love having this toilet when the camp bathroom is too fast from our site since our camper doesn't have a bathroom. I had a toilet bucket but the bio bags have become terribly expensive. This has already paid for itself!Very sturdy and good sitting height a bit hard to clean with all the various cut in on the plastic but doable.I bought this to replace an electric flush Thetford self contained RV toilet in my Campervan. The Thetford was its own holding tank you drained with an RV dump attachment and hose, just like for trailers. Sadly, the metal base of the Thetford rotted/broke on my 1995 Ford Econoline Campervan. No replacement parts are available and the model is no longer made. So I had to have it entirely removed. I bought the Camco based on various recommendations and it works well. I use the Camco self dissolving drop in toilet tablets to break down waste and prevent smelling. I just used it for a month on a camping trip through Arizona in a variety of temperatures ranging from below freezing to about 74 degrees. I emptied it once a week into either campground flush toilets or USFS/BLM vault toilets. It's easy to use and I set it up in the same spot in my van where the original Thetford had resided. This toilet isn't quite as tall as some other brands, but the spot where my Thetford had sat is elevated about two inches from the remaining Van floor, the seat elevation was similar and comfortable enough. This toilet seat is not super sturdy if you were to weigh more than about 180 lbs, I'd guess. You need to remember to open the slide gate before you pee or poop in here, too.Cleaning it after you've dumped the contents isn't the most fun thing I've ever done. You'll need to bring your own water jugs to refill it, swish it around and dump the two to three gallons of water you likely will need to use to rinse it out, TWICE minimum. Wipes are handy to wipe off the rim edge where you screw on the cap, too. And never put toilet paper or wipes in the toilet or you'll majorly regret it. Keep a small waste basket or hang a plastic grocery bag nearby to deposit toilet paper or wipes into. TP is not your friend inside a portable toilet. Just pretend you're in a Third World country and be thankful you even have toilet paper. When I got home from my trip I cleaned it thoroughly and also put two capfuls of bleach in it fully filled with water and let it sit overnight. Then I drained it again and let air dry with the seat valve open (and cleaned with wipes and spray bleach). And don't forget to clean the top piece, which holds water to flush with, but doesn't do a great job. I kept a half gallon leftover juice jug filled with water to pour on stuff stuck to the sides while out camping. This toilet or something similar is a "must have" if you are going to boondock on public lands throughout the the Western US. And who wants to have to get of your rig at night when it's gotten down to freezing or below temps outside? Even if you're in a campground with an outhouse.I would buy it again.Overall a solid toilet. Lid is a little flimsy, but no problems with it. No leaks at all. Easy to pour out. A swish with water and bleach seems to do the trick. A drop in tab helps the smell and clean up a bit, but when it's hot and once all is opened it does smell no matter what. This is a perfect solution to our cabin that has no running water. It’s compact but effective and very sturdy. I would recommend the deodorizing tabs to keep the unit from smelling if the waste will be in there overnight.I like it and it seems to work but water pump is very weak and the bowl is small for my bum. All my parts end up touching the edges don’t love that. Water pump is garbageVery satisfied with this product! My mother has incontinence and wanted a portable potty in her room as she couldn't make it to the toilet in time especially at night time. She loves it and finds it comfortable to sit on.Sturdy and easy to clean. The seal is really air-tight so it doesn't smell or spill. And the holding tank has a handle that makes it easy to carry and dispose of the waste in the toilet.A tip to those planning to get this product. Instead of buying the deodorizing treatments recommended, you can use a tablespoon of Borax with the water you put in after cleaning.Bought this portable potty last year and finally we’re able to use it. Awesome product. Just “plunk” one of the tablets into the water reservoir and your good to go. No smell at all and let me tell you extremely handy for those 2am bathroom calls. Highly recommend! Pros : very sturdy and nice height., holds a lot of water and waste. Empties nicely into a toilet even with out a spout ( have some spray air freshener handy.)Cons: very small toilet seat resulting in fluids escaping on my clothing lol...you know what i really want to say. Also the mechanism to squeeze water into to toilet is very hard to operate. A child or a elderly person would have extreme difficulty with it. A hand pump would be better.Leaks a little on the toilet seal.I wanted to hold off writing a review until it had some use. I purchased this for my trailer as it would be easier to empty than the large tank. At first I loved it and all was good.Within two months the handle started to leak. When you pull it open for use, liquid waste sprays out even though the holding tank isn't near full. The sealing ring also started to leak at this time (the one that is at the bottom of the toilet bowl)so I have to wad up paper towel and put it on top or it leaks everywhere as I am carrying it.Huge design flaw : the handle to carry it is directly across from the handle so If you are carrying it and want to set it down you have to do it carefully so its laying on its side or it presses the handle in a little and it leaks. The release handle should also have a lock so that it doesn't open when you are carrying the waste. .....one day it opened and untold horrors occurred.I imagine this may be a fine unit if you are only intending on using it once or twice a year for camping.
